What started as a casual interest turned into a hobby. Photography grew and grew on me; much to the occasional annoyance of my wife and family when I would stop to take a picture of some random leaf or building. But I carried on nonetheless until it became a passion. I learned as much I could and refined my technique until I discovered something.
I found that I could combine my experience as a father of two and a teacher of eleven years with my obsession with getting great pictures into something more. Having great camera equipment and a good eye for photography is only part of the equation for great family portraiture. Knowing how to work with families (and particularly kids) is the tricky part. I started by taking some pictures for families that I knew, and found that everyone involved was having a great time. The pictures that came as a result were a product of genuine fun mixed with a relaxed atmosphere. I hope that I can use my skills to get you pictures that you and your family will treasure for a lifetime.
